What HeartTape keeps
We keep the memories, approved lyrics, photographs, creative choices, project status, and purchase records needed to create and deliver your gift. Voice recordings are used to create a transcript; the project uses the transcript as its working memory.
How creation works
Only content you choose for the gift is sent to the services needed to write, compose, process, or render it. A memory marked as a private note is stored in your creator workspace but is excluded from the story and lyric-writing record. AI-assisted imagery is symbolic unless it comes from a photograph you supplied, and we ask before adding motion to an uploaded photograph.
Who can open it
Your creator recovery link can edit the project and should be treated like a password. Contributor links have limited access and expire. Tribute links are view-only, expire, and can be turned off by the creator. HeartTape does not intentionally make project pages searchable.
Service providers
HeartTape uses carefully selected infrastructure, payment, AI, music-production, and media-processing providers to fulfill the service. Payment-card details are handled by the payment processor, not stored in HeartTape’s project database.
Your choices
You can edit memories before approval, exclude subjects from the gift, decline photograph animation, withdraw an open review note, and revoke a tribute link. For a copy, correction, or deletion request, use the support contact in your order confirmation and include your project ID—not your private recovery key.
Children and sensitive stories
Only upload material you have the right to use. Take special care with children’s photographs, medical information, grief, reconciliation, and memories shared by someone else. HeartTape is designed for adult project creators.
This notice describes the product as built. Provider-specific retention and formal legal terms should be reviewed before a broad public launch.
